How Tactile!

Beginning Art Quilting Workshops

by Loretta Alvarado

Who Should Take This Course?

This hands-on workshop is intended for beginning to intermediate quilters who wish to learn how to create “art” quilts.  Participants should have a sewing machine and a basic knowledge of how to use it.  By the end of the class, participants will have made a small, ready to frame work of art using the fabric collage technique.

Course Outline:

The workshop will consist of one class session.  There are several days and times to choose from.   The class will be held at How Original! in Laguna Beach.  Each class will include instruction, discussion, and hands-on learning.  Students will need to bring a sewing machine to class.  If you have a darning foot or other similar attachment, bring that as well.  Students are encouraged to bring any scrap fabrics or trims they may wish to include in the piece.

Class Fees and Dates:

$45 per student.  Fee includes all materials necessary to complete a project.
